Terms of Service for CareerVoxa

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of CareerVoxa, operated by CareerVoxa Limited (company no. 17320948, registered in England and Wales) ("we", "us", "our", "the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use CareerVoxa. By using the Service you confirm you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter a binding agreement.

2. Account Responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
  • Notify us immediately at support@careervoxa.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Subscription and Payments

  • Free plan: Available at no cost with limited usage.
  • Paid plans: Charged monthly or annually as described at checkout. Prices are in GBP and include applicable taxes.
  • Billing: Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges to your payment method.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel at any time from Settings → Billing. You retain access until the end of the current paid period; no partial refunds are issued.
  • Refunds: We offer a refund within 14 days of initial purchase if you are not satisfied, unless significant AI credits have been consumed. Contact support@careervoxa.com.
  • Price changes: We will give at least 30 days' notice of price changes. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

4. AI-Generated Content

CareerVoxa's AI tools provide career assistance (CV tailoring, interview coaching, job matching, etc.). This content is for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional career, legal, or financial advice. You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated output before acting on it. CareerVoxa makes no guarantee that AI output will result in successful job applications or employment.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
  • Upload content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service's infrastructure.
  • Share your account credentials or resell access to the Service.
  • Submit CVs or data belonging to another person without their consent.
  • Use the Service to generate misleading or fraudulent job application materials.

We may suspend or terminate your account without notice for material breach of these terms.

6. Intellectual Property

All platform code, design, AI models, and proprietary content are the exclusive property of CareerVoxa and its licensors. You retain full ownership of CVs, cover letters, and other personal content you upload. By uploading content you grant us a limited licence to process it solely to provide the Service.

7. Privacy

Use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • CareerVoxa is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
  • Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amounts you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, as required by UK law.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CareerVoxa from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Service.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email and update the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate at any time. On termination you lose access to paid features. Sections 6, 8, 9, and 12 survive termination.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer in another jurisdiction, mandatory local consumer protection laws may also apply.
